Also, I am going to make fudge today. Mm...
I've been in a pretty good mood recently-- I mean, I've descended into WEH at night more often since I RAN OUT OF MEDS AND DIDN'T GET A NEW PRESCRIPTION LIKE A MONTH AGO (I found my old one like three days ago though so that's good) but my motivation doesn't seem to have suffered. das is good.

Probably because I'm taking two of my electives this time around, class is a little more relaxed. Why can't it always be this way. Wah.

So what have I been into lately? Well, thanks to Tumblr and VYC I have fallen out of the Hobbit tree and hit every branch on the way down. Thanks, Vyc. I hadn't seen the second and third Hobbit movies (and only saw the first because my sister dragged me to a theater) but I caved and watched them and now the way is shut. Everyone Lives AUs, yaaaas. ALSO I WANT THORIN AND DIS TO SEE THEIR FATHER AGAIN...

As usual I did roughly 0% of shipping while watching the actual movies, but the fandom is just so enthusiastic and nice about it that it's hard not to get dragged along and change XD I went into it after reading Vyc's Barduil fic and also a Bilbo/Thorin Cinderella AU (you'd be surprised what Tumblr can make work XD) so that was pretty set in stone, but... Thorin and Bilbo's relationship. Thorin says that he gave Bilbo the mithril shirt as a token of their friendship, and when he says the word 'friendship' THE OTHERS LAUGH

Kili and Tauriel is canon, so my feelings on that don't much matter, LOLOLOL. They make a good couple, though, and Kili is adorable. Precious baby. Thranduil can complain all he likes because he's a jerk. But a handsome Sad Dad one and y'all know I love me some Sad Dad

Predictably I have been morphing Middle Earth to fit several Dwarf Fortress things, which I have detailed here and oh no, it's bad. Also I do not condone the butchering of actual, existing kittens, I love kittens, but they are significantly less cute when they consist of only the letter 'c' and the death of my FPS.

I built a computer! I bought the parts and put them together myself. Here's the list:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Team Vulcan 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280 3GB DUAL-X Video Card
Case: BitFenix Shinobi Window ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: SeaSonic 450W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

I sort of overestimated the space I'd have on a Micro ATX motherboard, but everything did fit! I just... don't know how I'm going to get the graphics card out again. It's huge. It's the biggest thing in there. But it runs! I just need to put Windows 8.1 on it somehow, now. I have Ubuntu because it's free, but most things don't run so great because they weren't designed with Ubuntu in mind, and I can't be bothered to look up fixes all the time, hahaha. But yeeeees.

I am super excited for the trials and goodbyes in Luceti! Everyone has to go to the Core Spirit and show it that they've grown and changed during their time in Luceti and then they can go home without fear of being dragged back-- or they can stay, but Dhaos will be going home because he wants to face the consequences of his actions. Grune will be regaining her memory, so she'll be helping him out and finally, finally learning about all that Demon King stuff he's been hiding from everyone. It'll be amazing. But poor Sophie will be separated from her mother and all her friends forever as things stand now, since she was born in Luceti and wants to leave with Fenimore ;~~; POOR BABY, LET EVERYONE HOLD YOU

Hm, what else? Ashley is home! She is on Spring Break! And also Flight Rising is having the Wind Festival, and I am of the Wind Flight, and EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL I NEED TEN OF ALL OF IT

Yikes, that's terrible that you lost the prescription for so long! But at least you found it again.

Relaxed classes sound lovely.

I still need to see the other two Hobbit films myself. I love the original LOTR, but I definitely didn't get as deeply into The Hobbit. The Dwarves were so crude, especially when they started throwing food in Rivendell, oh gosh. (I did love poor Elrond's expression there, though. LOL.) I loved the main Dwarf, however (was that Thorin?), because he was serious. Also, I was intrigued that Hobbit holes have plumbing. I didn't even think modern plumbing existed yet.

Aww, that's neat that the people have fun shipping instead of getting into wars about it!

And wow! Building your own computer, that's awesome! I didn't realize you were that technologically inclined.

Lucenti is an RP that's wrapping up, I take it? It's fun looking forward to scenes you're anxious to write/act out. :)

Yay! Fun times! Is Flight Rising a video game or is it something in real-life?

I know, I can't believe myself, but I'm glad to have it again!

Yeees *__*

I tend to block out parts like that, but yes, oh my gosh the secondhand embarrassment (and yes, Elrond and his face are things of beauty. Poor guy XD) Yes, that's Thorin! He's definitely much more solemn and maybe a little sharper than everyone else, and really great to watch. And yeah, that caught me off-guard, too. I mean, do you remember Helms Deep's drain? Plumbing is awesome! Why aren't Hobbits famous?

I might just be subconsciously keeping to areas I know are safe, but so far I haven't seen any ill will about it yet. TV Tropes says one of the characters I like is hideously unpopular, which supports this theory. I haven't seen anything of that!

It took me four hours T__T Everything is labeled and there are manuals that come with everything, it's just... those darn screws... so many... But yeah, picking out the parts sure was an exercise. I APPRECIATE THE APPRECIATION T_________T

Yup! That old one from like... years ago, ahaha. I'm going to make the best of it!

YAAAAY It's a pet website where you breed dragons. The monthly festivals are, officially, one-week periods to get apparel and other stuff associated with an elemental Flight that you choose to be a part of when you join. Like, this was the Wind festival, so the whole site got new Wind-themed stuff only available this week. But the community has also organized it to be a week where the Flight associated with the festival gets discounts on everything and a bunch of other extra perks.

...So, uh, Neopets with dragons. You can only join when they open up registration, so every time that happens there tend to be a burst of HELLO NEW PEOPLE 8D threads on the forum.

I can imagine!

Thorin is awesome, yes. And plumbing. Maybe Hobbits aren't known for that because they don't get many non-Hobbit visitors to the Shire and they don't travel much? Hmm.

It's always sad when a favorite character is unpopular. But it's cool you haven't really seen anything of that yet.

Wow. Yes, screws are frustrating!

Cool!

That looks fun. But oh man, you certainly have a lot! I remember Neopets' rule about not having more than four, and I wonder how you can handle three pages of dragons!
